What’s included in the fees? The National Fees cover insurance and programming. When your scout is at a scouting event, they are fully covered by an insurance policy. IE, if your scout is injured while on a camp out scouting will cover the medical cost. National and Council dues are collected when you register and then are due on your scouting anniversary every year. The New Scout Fee is only paid the first year.

The Pack 47 Fee covers program materials for our unit. This covers a Class B T-Shirt, awards, Pinewood Derby Kit, Raingutter Regatta Kit, snacks, s’mores at camp outs, and materials we need to run the program.

What’s Not Included? Most camp outs are a la cart so that families do not pay for camp outs they do not attend. We try to keep the cost of a camp out between $10-$15 with the exception of one “big” camp out we do per year. The cost of the Class A uniform is also not covered in dues.

MONEY SHOULD NEVER KEEP A SCOUT FROM SCOUTING! If any families need assistance with money we have plenty of resources. Pack 47 dues can be split into up to 3 payments. We have a Pack 47 Campership Fund that can be used to cover part of dues and uniform. Please speak with the Cubmaster if interested. The Mobile Area Council also has scholarships available through the Baldwin United Way to cover the cost of scouting. We also have a uniform closet and swap night where to get used uniforms to decrease the cost of the uniform.
